MC Mechanical Angle-Lock Precision Vise

The Core Purpose of the MC Mechanical Angle-Lock Precision Vise The primary use of the MC Mechanical Angle-Lock Precision Vise is to securely clamp workpieces during machining operations, specifically designed to prevent the workpiece from lifting or tilting when clamped.

1. Core Mechanism: The "Angle-Lock" Design

Unlike standard vises, the movable jaw of an angle-lock vise contains a hemispherical segment. When the mechanical lead screw is tightened, it generates a downward pulling force. This forces the workpiece to sit dead flat against the vise bed, preventing upward lifting and ensuring extremely high parallelism and perpendicularity.

2. Suitable Machining Types

  • Precision Finishing : Ideal for tasks that require high geometric accuracy, such as squaring raw material blocks or final finishing passes.

  • Light to Medium-Duty Milling & Drilling : Because it relies entirely on a mechanical screw rather than a hydraulic booster, its clamping force is smaller than a hydraulic vise. However, it is perfectly suited for standard CNC milling, drilling, and tapping operations.

  • Surface Grinding : Frequently used on precision surface grinders due to its high rigidity and stability.

3. Major Application Scenarios

  • General Machine Shops : It is the most common and versatile fixture found in almost every machine shop for everyday CNC and manual milling tasks.

  • Tool and Die Making : Used for holding tool steel and mold components during precision machining.

  • Multi-Part Clamping : Because of their precision-ground, standardized dimensions, multiple angle-lock vises are often mounted side-by-side on a CNC machine table to process long parts or run batch production efficiently.
